The Creature and the Lady

Everyone says I’m either cursed or bad luck. I was six when I first saw the Creature and the Lady. No one else could see them, and every time I saw one or both – death followed.

History

This story was written originally for an anthology my American Night Writers Association* (ANWA) chapter, Rainy Day Writers, was putting together. The story started out with an experience of mine with I was a child. I really did see something when I was in my bed with Rainbow Brite sheets and Strawberry Shortcake blankie after watching Connan the Barbarian. The Creature in my story is not like the “creature” I thought I saw that night, but it was still terrifying to my little six-year-old self to say the least.

*Please note that ANWA has no part in the published anthology.
